New Zealand Tourism Silver Fern Tattoo ... Wherein Peter buys calendars.
Instead of the usual calendar Archambeault Kentucky, I jump up with one that's just nature photography. "Trees" rank high on the Things I miss about Kentucky.
Here's this year's Gorey calendar. I do not think I've ever read * Actually * The Deranged Cousins
, But It Should Still Be a nice bit of décor.
Yay! I've Been Tempted to buy an architecture calendar for the last two years running, I finally made good on the Threat.
I've been kind of the best cycling-through 20th-century abstract artists from year to year (dammit, why is tStuart Davis here

Python From Batch File ... wherein Peter summarizes the Year in Writing.
Continuing with the 2010 recaps , I figured I'd go over the year in writing.
I'm shocked to realize Accomplished * anything *, writing-wise, this year. Writing Never Happened in the foreground, and my Accomplishments never led anywhere.
Mostly, I just wrote stuff for the blog, Which is just about as inconsequential as writing gets. I Kept Analyzing Everything I ever watched or read in the Weekly Media Updates . I wrote an amusing English column Every Thursday, and managed to squeeze out a couple dozen sketches for Sketchwar . So
Even When Happened absolutely nothing else, I Had That still quiet baseline of output.
--
As far as I can tell, this year had four big writing projects.
First, I wrote a TV pilot spec .
This was the first pilot spec I ever wrote, and frankly it will probably be the last. You use a pilot spec to pursue work in the TV-writing biz, and now that the biz has imploded and I'm too old to get hired, I have no further need for a calling card. But I wound up with a piece of work I was proud of, and I got a cast of actors to perform it on the radio.
Then, I wrote a radio serial episode .
There was no practical reason to write this whatsoever. But again, I got a cast of improv actors to come into KOOP and perform it for their audiencis So Many hours in the day. I'd love to write Another radio serial for the Art Institute, pero I have not carved out enough time to get past the "staring at a blank screen" stage on it. In a perfect world, I'll make the time for larger writing projects in 2011, somehow. If I care about this enough, I'll make it happen.

Title: Hydrophobia.
Fandom: Assassin's Creed .
Characters: Ezio / Leonardo.
Words: 1917.
Warnings: located at some point in the Venice, but no spoilers.
Notes: the kissing scene came suddenly, and is more than based on Leon and Angela kiss in Degeneration XD. It makes little sense, but I wanted to write it: D EDIT: I added a drawing & hearts
Venice was a city that was asking its visitors to stop at every street and watch with meticulous beauty of architecture, the canals, the water is still blue. PigeonsEzio expected and had taken a few minutes longer than expected to give chase. However, a guard patrol including gross-to-that would not have to be there, he crossed to his side and the soldiers immediately sounded the alarm, before Ezio even had time to remove the hidden leaf hot body unhappy messenger.
This was, running between the buildings in Venice with what already looked like a horde of guards behind him. Despite the years, he told himself with a half smile, had to refine the question of secrecy. But that night was another concern, and one to keep in mind: I was not alone. Misfortune had wanted to stumble with a bystander, who looked back achandle with a wooden box full of belongings, and was not a citizen either: he had been face to face with Leonardo, who seemed as surprised as when your body Ezio pounced on him accidentally.
- "E-Ezio ...?! Muttered a milestone his friend, while carrying the box was broken when hitting the ground in a thud.
Leonardo
"Sorry, it's ..." He turned his face obscured by the hood, only to find that the guards were hot on the heels swallowed hard ... bad timing.
- What do you mean? "The clatter of boots and greaves of the soldiers on the cobblestones are getting closer. Oh, I think I understand, "stammered.

? Leonardo groaned, which seemed to become petrified by the sudden he ensuing stampede. Ezio not react quickly and instinctively did what he felt he had to do with this new scenario: Leonardo grabbed the wrist and dragged him down the street. The guards had had time to see them together and if Leonardo had left alone, he had no doubt what had happened to his friend. That was not his night, he thought Ezio. To his surprise, Leonardo staggered not at any time as they escaped, but neither seemed very pleased. They ran without stopping until you reach the districts of San Polo, but without being able to slip the copiedble to launch the channel that way.
Until suddenly breath without feeling like your lungs become waterlogged. The air passed through his mouth, as if a divine halo would have brought back to life. He felt a mouth pressed hard on his own, a breath that was not theirs, and as his lips moved slowly, allowing it to breathe, the hand rested on his waist Ezio up to have it secure. Gave a strong push up and after what appeared to have been hours, their heads surfaced, refugees under a bridge linking both sides of the channel. Ezio
gave a few strokes and cornered him against the wall, yet the steps and voices behind some guards gave while crossing the bridgeyou in search of two dams already lost. But his mouth did not separate from the lips of Leonardo, who was trapped between the robust body of Ezio and the wall of the bridge.
What at first seemed to have been a simple tactic for help, had become a stranger become intimate moment. I felt chills all over his back, although she suspected that had more to do with the language of Ezio brushing his lips and the proximity of bodies in the icy water of Venice. With some diffidence, Leonardo fingers curled into the fabric soaked clothes of his companion, unable to avoid a slight tremor in the extremities. Some strands of hair clung to her face, began pulling Eziodo about the situation. But above all, is criticized for having let himself be carried away by his useless survival instincts and breaking the kiss so soon. Although everything could have been the product of his imagination flammable at the slightest spark.
When the screams were reduced to a distant echo, Ezio heaved a sigh of relief and their muscles relaxed.
- Are you okay, Leonardo? This

- Molto bene
"he said, still dazed. But please, get out of here story before, right? "He added, shivering with cold and poorly concealed excitement in his voice.
Ezio managed to help Leonardo up to the bridge, and follow him from behind without much problem. The night was cold as an iceberg and clothes of both were completely soaked. Leonardo, who had lost his hat on the way, her hair swirled restlessly. Still felt the touch of her fingers as if it were a warm caress he had left a mark on the skin freeze.
"It was all so strange that I'm not sure what to say but thank you for saving my back, my friend, hesitated, and gave him a pat on the shoulder Ezio without much confidence.
Ezio, who seemed to notice, or chose to ignore-the internal troubles of his friend, gave her one of your smiles.

However, it could not get out of the mind what had happened under the water of that channel under the bridge, but successfully concealed his internal musings. By contrast, Ezio not seem to be aware of the effect their actions had on him in the least. Despite this apparent lack, Leonardo did not know what to think of the attitude of his friend. On one occasion in which they had been mired in a tranquil silence, Ezio had caught the sidelong glances that Leonardo was launched from a stool, swirling under a blanket. The Wedding Dance Mount Blade
Title: Compensation.
Fandom: Assassin's Creed .
Characters: slightest Ezio / Paola. Paola / Giovanni oneside implicit.
Words: 1000.
Warnings: spoilers AC2.
Notes: it probably has a lot of headcanon and subtext in regard to Paola and her relationship with Giovanni. But I got the image from Paola and Ezio in Monteriggioni at dusk and had to do something. It is not the shipée per se, but I seem to have a nice relationship.
Many years had passed since Paola had seen a sunset beyond the walls of Monteriggioni. Theorange sky darkened behind the guard towers and stone walls, while the people became increasingly quiet before the impending nightfall. From the balcony of the Villa Auditore could see a man behind, or courtesans who walked among the streets, swaying hips and letting those languid and flirty laughter that she had used in more than one occasion throughout his life. Do not remember much peace and splendor in this tiny place, which now seemed shine a new light. As a newly polished diamond.
Absorbed in these little ramblings and distant memories, Paola suddenly noticed the presence of someone behind her.
- Mad onna , seem somewhat absent here alone.
"Good afternoon," said Paola Ezio without turning around, with a slight smile on his lips. Ezio
came up to her and leaned against the marble balustrade beside him. Paola gave him a sidelong glance, little or nothing remained of this young scared and devastated by the death of his father and brothers, who had come to her years ago for help. With the passage of time and the dramatic change that had taken his life had taken distinguished presence and bearing, and her eyes shone the determination that the new leader of the Order needed. I was more determined than ever to continue the task by his father. Giovanni would have been proud of him, decrices that never ended up closing completely. However, calculated and cautious words, Ezio decided to break the ice. Paola knew what would be your question, and could not help but feel a twinge of sadness.
-Paola, you ... you loved my father, right? "Given the silence of Paola, Ezio swallowed and put his hand on his shoulder. Forgive the impertinence, it's just that ...
"You've become very circumspect, Ezio" he said as his fingers brushed his hand on his shoulder. Paola
could see the internal troubles of the Auditor, who was watching with a mixture of love, compassion and even a faint hint of guilt, which he did not want Ezio Paola felt under any circumstances.
melancholy gleam in the dark irises woman, and she held the gaze of Ezio, with an expression of gratitude. Then he spoke without expecting Paola these words:
"On behalf of my father, I hope at least this can make it up.
dedicated hand before touching the slender fingers of Paola rose to his face, brushed his cheek with his thumb and other fingers sank into the thick hair of the woman. Gradually, his neck bent to be at the level of Paola, who accepted the brush of lips on hers Ezio. He could feel the tickle of his beard on her skin and lips and silver matches the scar. It was a slow kiss, soft, like the palm of one hand wiping tears otro. As a reassuring whisper in his ear. As the end of a weeping, followed by a conciliatory smile.
Probably that was the most beautiful kiss Paola had received in his life. When Ezio separated a few inches, she let her lips briefly rozasen his forehead and put her arms around him.
- Grazie
, Ezio.
For a moment, that stabbing pain in the chest Paola declined to become just a shrill whistle. Then night fell in Monteriggioni, more splendid and beautiful than ever.
